Valentine’s Day is a special day when people show their love to others by sending out gifts and messages of love. The day which is celebrated on 14th February, has become an annual festival of affection, friendship, and admiration.
Understanding that the less privileged in the society needs love and care, pupils and staff of Brainfield Primary School, Port Harcourt visited the motherless babies home to celebrate Valentine’s Day with them. Led by the Headteacher, Mrs. Bene Chinwe Okahia, they encouraged both the children in the home and their care-givers. To the children, Mrs. Okahia advised them never to give up on life because destiny has a special plan and purpose for them. She also, applauded the staff of the home for their dedication and care for these children who have no one and nowhere to go.
The children and staff of the home thanked Brainfield Group of Schools for this show of love and prayed that God will bless the institution for remembering them at such a time as this.
The story wasn’t different at our two schools in Owerri, where staff, students and pupils had an awesome time celebrating the Valentine’s Day. The children where hosted to parties and enjoyable games.
Kudos! staff and pupils of Brainfield Group of Schools.
